How to convert

Notes, not a copy of the sound. MIDI captures musical events, not the original instrument or effects. Dense mixes, layered sounds and heavy reverb may need manual note correction. Isolated melodic parts are a better starting point.

Is GODLIKE WAV2MIDI really free?
Yes. One $0 product includes both the Mac and Windows installers and the English PDF guide. Complete the free store checkout to get the packages. The plugin requires no paid subscription or online activation.
Can I convert chords as well as single-note melodies?
Yes. MULTI HQ can transcribe multiple simultaneous notes as well as melodies and basslines. Start with an isolated musical part where possible. For sustained pads or strings, adjust Minimum Note to reduce short detections and review the piano roll before exporting.
What can I convert?
Start with melodic WAV material: piano, bass, leads, pads or strings. Results depend on the recording, overlap between instruments and effects. The input limit is 3 minutes or 256 MiB of decoded audio.
Will it sound exactly like my WAV?
No. MIDI contains note information, not the original timbre, effects or audio. Choose an instrument in your DAW to play the exported notes. Transcription may need corrections, especially with layered or heavily processed audio.
Does it work in my DAW?
You need a 64-bit host that supports VST3 on the listed operating systems. This download does not include AU or AAX. Check your DAW's plugin format support before downloading; an AU-only host cannot load this version.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only to get the package from the store. Once installed, conversion runs locally with no plugin account or online activation required. Your source audio is not uploaded for transcription.
How do I install it?
Unzip the download, close your DAW and run the included installer. Reopen your DAW, rescan VST3 plugins, then load GODLIKE WAV2MIDI in an effect slot. The included PDF walks you through both platforms.
Is this an online WAV-to-MIDI converter?
No. This is a downloadable VST3 plugin that runs inside a compatible DAW, not in your browser. Your audio stays local. Export the MIDI and use an instrument track to hear it; MIDI is note data, not a replacement audio file.
